• Air/air heat pump: this is the principle behind reversible air conditioning, an area where we’re also specialists.
• Air/water heat pump (or air-source): it captures heat from the air and converts it into warmth or coolness. This is the model that perfectly replaces an old oil boiler while keeping your existing radiator system where possible. Air/water heat pumps are particularly well suited to underfloor heating.
• Water/water heat pump (or geothermal): it captures heat from groundwater or the soil and converts it into warmth or coolness. Since ground temperature is stable, this is the highest-performing system, though it’s also more complex and costly to install.
